Our war in Iraq has been lacking an exit strategy
Since the Spring of 2003, we have been warring in Iraq; first it was against Hussein's regime, then it was against the country's insurgents. We have spent hundreds of billions of dollars. We have lost thousands of lives. We still do not have a defined mission with goalposts.
What are our goals, how long are we to stay there, and how much money are we going to spend (and where do we find the money?) Perhaps the most important question is, since we are still there long after removing Saddam from power and liberating Iraq from him, was that our goal to start with? We, the American people, don't know how we will achieve our country's objective of a stable and democratic nation in Iraq.
It has been over two years since our invasion, and we still do not know what our mission is or when we
will complete it. Our elected representatives in Washington have not formalized any exit strategy from Iraq. VOID has a mission statement. Why doesn't our government? Please join our growing numbers of supporters by making a contribution and/or volunteering an hour or two per week to VOID, so that we may share our message and grow the ranks of voters willing to vote our irresponsible incumbents over the next few election cycles, to remove the corrupt and inept politicians. Our goal is to solve this country's major, critical problems by removing the obstacles to that goal. Let us insure that our future has a responsible U.S. government in it which knows how to establish a mission statement and keep to its goals.

What I find appalling is that Democrats and Republicans alike on the House and Senate Intelligence Oversight Committees utterly failed the American people by NOT investigating the claims for going to war in Iraq prior to the invasion.
As Laurel and Hardy would say of Democrats and Republicans today: "This is another fine mess you have gotten us in to."

From what I can see there still isn't any plan of action for victory. Sense this falls under the Commander in Chiefs department I hold him responsible for it.
Congress on the other hand is sitting around passing stupid resolutions.
This is the kind of stuff that got us in a rut in Vietnam. That cost over 58,000 lives. I sure don't want it to happen again.
