Who and What is VOID?
Who: Vote Out Incumbents Democracy, (VOID), is a group of volunteers from all the major political perspectives from conservative to liberal, who believe our political system is corrupted far beyond what political parties were intended to be, and their corruption has in turn made our government corrupt. This corruption has eroded the principles of our democratic republic which founded our nation. Supporters and volunteers hail from all around the United States. In the column to the right, you will find biographies of our Board of Directors.
What: VOID is a PAC, which stands for Political Action Committee or, 527 in IRS parlance. But, VOID is a unique PAC. First, VOID is an unconnected PAC, which means our organization is not affiliated with any candidates, political parties, corporations, or other organizations. Second, VOID is all volunteer, to date we have no employees and none of VOID's funds are used to pay any VOID personnel or supporters for any work performed. Finally, unlike most other PAC's, VOID does not advocate for any political party, candidates, or issue other than responsible, efficient, and accountable government. VOID takes no position on political issues like abortion or war or any other issues not directly related to responsible, efficient, and accountable governance.
VOID seeks to achieve better
political reform and governance by organizing voters dissatisfied with our politics and government results, to vote out incumbents in sufficient numbers to change how politicians conduct themselves and our government. As of the 2004 elections, incumbents had enjoyed a 90+ percent reelection rate no matter how badly government or politicians performed. Which means there is no incentive for politicians to change their ways.
By organizing voters to lower that incumbency rate significantly, we can demand better governance and politics in return for our vote. This is the power granted to voters by our Constitution over politicians and government, if only voters will exercise that power. That is our mission, to educate and organize voters around this Constitutional power of the vote to demand better politics and government from our elected officials in the U.S. Congress. VOID advocates the anti-incumbent vote only in regard to U.S. Congressional races, and takes no position on presidential election, or state and local politics.

I am an avid supporter of term limits. I would like to share with your group a petition that I authored on www.thepetitionsite.com calling for the creation of congressional term limits. Please feel free to share this with as many people as possible.

Robert, thank you.
While we don't take a stand one way or another on term limits, your petition and our strategy work toward a common purpose, to end corruption and dependence of politicians on those who would dictate legislation that fails to meet our nation's needs.

There will be no reforms until voters get fed-up enough to finally do the one simple, common-sense, non-partisan, no-brainer, ethical, peaceful, and responsible thing they should have been doing all along.
That is, there is one important step that is prerequisite to all of the perpetually discussed reforms.

I believe to be effective ALL incumbents should be voted out. This will send a message that the people mean business. Trying to get people to agree on who is "bad" will never happen.
If the message is sent that the people have the power and are going to exercise it we will get less corrupt officials.
