Email from C-Span listener!
I am a new reader of your web site, I heard about you on c-span so I did a google on you, I have not yet read all about you but I can tell you that I am fed up with most all of our politicians in DC, they do not listen to what we the people say or want and we need big change to correct this.
I am disgusted with
most everything, prescription drug bill, illegal immigration, our high deficit, the war in Iraq, the tax policy, the pork barrel spending, the corruption in congress, Tom DeLay, Cunningham, Abramoff, Scooter Libby the list goes on and on we need major change and I am wondering if that is what you are all about.

I couldn't agree more. President Bush is very close to killing more brave American soliders in Iraq than the number of American citzens killed in the 9/11 attack. It seems to me the "terrorist" who is killing the most Americans is George Bush.

Kerry, I agree with you that we need an end to American loss of life in Iraq.
But, I have read more of what VOID is about, and I have to agree with them that the problems our nation faces, won't be solved by one or the other political parties. Politics rules government today, instead of the needs of the nation and its people. And to change that, voting for challengers to incumbents of both parties is the only way. I read here somewhere someone said, "We need to put the fear of the voters back into the hearts of politicians."
No truer words were ever spoke. I am really glad I found you guys. Whoever called into to C-Span, should get more people to call in. It's how I heard about your organization.

You are not alone.
That is exactly what VOID is all about.
If the blatant irresponsibility, greed, and corruption of congress doesn't upset you, nothing will.
Voters should start doing the one simple, common-sense, no-brainer, non-partisan, inexpensive, peaceful and responsible thing that voters were supposed to be doing all along:

86 the incumbent is a non-partisan concept driven by patriotism and the most coveted of citizen rights, the right to vote! Our core belief is that the political system has gone astray from what our forefathers intended and only the VOTING American population has the power to tell our current leadership that they have to be held accountable for their decisions while in office. Corruption, failure to accomplish campaign promises and voting along party lines instead of for the best interest on their constituents has been noticed by the people.

Ray,
Thank you.
So often, some say it is simplistic.
But, voting out irresponsible incumbents is exactly what voters were supposed to be doing all along, always.
We should keep the good ones (if there are any).
IMO, there aren't any good politicians because I can't find any (much less 50, or even 268 incumbents (half of the 535) in Congress) that:
Unfortunately, the bar is set so, so low. The system is so perverted and dysfunctional, it corrupts almost all within it. Incumbents always outnumber newcomers, and pressure, threaten, and tempt newcomers to accept the status quo.
And that will continue, until voters make it obvious to incumbent politicians that their careers will be short, indeed, if they succumb to the status quo too!
If you can't even come up with 268 (half of 535) in Congress, what's that mean ?
If any incumbent really is responsible, then they deserve to stay. Keep them.
Otherwise, they don't deserve to stay in their cu$hy, coveted seats of power, and perhaps that is the price that the irresponsible incumbents should pay for looking the other way?
