It's official and more!
Our very capable Treasurer, Daniel Summars, as required by FEC regulations, has filed the registration form for Vote Out Incumbents for Democracy with the Federal Elections Commission. It's official. We are an unconnected political action association. Our very capable Secretary, Stephanie Crist, is completing and about to file the forms with the State of Texas officially registering Vote Out Incumbents for Democracy as a not-for-profit political action organization.
Daniel has produced our first batch of membership cards and mailed them out to our most excellent supporters. If you have remitted your membership dues you should receive your card in the mail this week. If you don't contact me at president@voidnow.org. Accompanying your membership card are business cards with VOID's information on them which our members may hand out to prospective new members or interested persons. We will place the business card sheet on this web site for download this week, where our members may download it and print additional business cards as needed.
I want to extend my deep appreciation and thanks to Daniel and Stephanie for their very generous time and effort in assimilating the review of the laws and regulations that govern an organization
such as ours. This has been tedious and laborious, but, we made it through and saved VOID a couple thousand dollars in legal fees.
Our most pressing needs now are 1) raise sufficient funds to purchase VOID's insurance policy, 2) complete and send out the organizational plan for local VOID groups, and 3) assign step by step tasks for our volunteers to assist them in putting VOID into play for November's elections. So, please, if you support our concept and hope for a more responsible government, become a member today. Your membership dues are vital to VOID acquiring the necessary liability insurance to allow VOID to continue its mission.
We are currently also looking for capable volunteer writers to produce content in our various columns on this web site. Also, we are seeking volunteers with fundraising experience who can help coordinate that effort. Speech is free, communication mediums like phone calls, direct mailing, and advertising are not.
