How To Manual ready!
Good day to you all, Vote Out Incumbents for Democracy supporters.
The 1st phase of our Local VOID Group's 'How To Manual' is completed and was sent to some prospective organizers around the country. For those of you interested in forming a Local VOID Group in your state or district, email us at one of the Email Links above or in the right column of this page and we will send the step by step How To Guide to you.
For those of you supporters who are not able or, inclined to organize locally, we ask that you think about who you know who might be interested and pass the word on. All politics is local is the oft quoted wisdom, and VOID must now move to the grassroots phase.
My sincerest thanks to you all for your support and words of encouragement. It is daunting what we have undertaken here, but, our progress in 6 short months has been nothing short of amazing considering VOID began as a blog last October.
The Anti-incumbent mood of Americans is growing significantly. But, it appears from the polls to be directed primarily at Republicans. This is a situation which VOID must continue to try to rectify, since the waste, fraud, and abuse of office in Congress and D.C. extends throughout Congress on both sides of the aisle. Money and lack of ethics is how special interests, lobbyists, and wealthy campaign donors control our government's agenda, and when they control it, our children's future and their hopes for a more prosperous, freer and more secure nation are, more often than not, diminished.
In a story just released today
the opening statement reads: "Some colleges are reporting double-digit drops in the average SAT scores of applicants this year"
In a few decades, we will all be gone. But, our children, and their children will be left with the results of our actions and inaction. Will they praise us, or curse us? That is up to us. They are our legacy. It is up to us to make the changes and the difference for our own self respect and our children's respect when they inherit the nation we left behind. It is up to us. No one is going to do this for us if we don't take the lead and bring them along.
Thank you all again for your support, - keep it coming. And thank you all for your words of encouragement which keep those of us carrying the load motivated and optimistic. You are the most important people for America's future. For, without your carrying the Vote Out Incumbents for Democracy mission and message to your friends, family, and acquaintances, VOID will not succeed and the future could become a horrendous regret for our children.
