6-6-2006 Minutes

Board Minutes for 6-6-06 8PM via conference call, all members present..

Old Business:
-Adoption of Minutes - Minutes for April's meeting were not available and will be adopted in July's meeting.

New Business:

Local VOID Groups
-After sending out the information about Local VOID Groups to potentially interested persons, we got zero response. Obviously, some revisions are needed. The Board discussed a to step process called unaffiliated and affiliated. Unaffiliated would be granting certain license to use VOID materials to generate interest and membership in a local group. The unaffiliated group would not however be affiliated with VOID and would not be permitted to use VOID's name or claim any connection to VOID.

- Affiliated Local VOID Group's would render membership dues to VOID, and have full use of VOID resources and name and work as an extension of VOID's organization for a defined election district in that local area.

- Remer indicated he would work on these revisions.

The Board discussed a number of projects for VOID's web site.

-Remer was directed by the Board to alter the list of donors on the VOID web site to include supporters and donors.
- Daniel Summars recommended Remer create a section on VOID's web site for letters to editors and Congress persons which our visitors could copy and paste and send to local news media and Representatives. He recommended links to NumbersUSA.com (Letters to editor) and for Congresspersons
to Congress.Org.
- Remer indicated he would seek volunteers to research address data

on publications for Editorial email links. Remer said he would also seek a volunteer coordinator for internet promotion.
-The idea was put forth to seek Public Speaker Volunteers and put forth drafts for speeches on our site.
- Stephanie indicated we should expand our blogroll to include many more sites. Remer said he would look into it.
-Remer indicated he would develop a list of challenger candidates who may support VOID's mission or the anti-incumbent movement.

Bumper stickers, window signs, yard signs T-Shirts.
- Remer indicated he would donate $200 to procuring an initial batch of car window stickers to advertise VOID. Having announced this intention, it was learned that Dennis Sherrad would also contribute $50 to this project.

WatchBlog Advertising
- Remer reported that he was able to obtain permission from WatchBlog's owner to run a compimentary ad on WatchBlog for VOID, in return for his many years of volunteer service to WatchBlog. The ad should be up and running on WatchBlog in the next month or so. Since it is free to VOID, the idea of purchasing WatchBlog was terminated.

Book
- Remer announced he would try to write a short book about VOID and its mission for publication later this year. Stephanie recommended we seek a recognized name to do the Forward in the book. A title of Parenting the Politicians was discussed.

Treasury Report
- Remer indicated he would seek the time to assemble and forward all transactions heretofore to the treasurer.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:55 PM.
