Criminal Politicians II
The Rest of US.org reports on another corrupt politician convicted today.
The Nebraska Supreme Court has convicted Regent Dave
Hergert on impeachment charges related to violating the state's campaign laws and lying to cover it up, as WOWT of Omaha reports. With today's ruling, Hergert is immediately removed from office.

Just the tip of the iceberg.
Like the small fraction of millions of illegal aliens apprehended while crossing the borders, for every crooked politician that gets convicted, there are dozens (perhaps hundreds) that have not been caught.
And some are so blatant.
They are so arrogant.
They believe they are above the law.
And they are.
Even if one is ever convicted, they're likely to get a pardon (like the 140 felons pardoned by Clinton, despite the fact that many pled guilty).
Who says political crime doesn't pay ?
Our do-nothing, bought-and-paid-for, corrupt, irresponsible Congress is above the law.
Representative William Jefferson was video-taped receiving a $100K bribe, and he has not even been charged. Who knows if he ever will be? If ever convicted, it will be a waste of time, since they get pardons.
Corruption = Power - Education - Transparency - Accountability
Responsibility = Power + Education + Transparency + Accountability
