VOID Board of Directors - Meeting Minutes

PURPOSE: To review progress of current projects and to determine the prices to be charged for the newly acquired VOID window stickers.
MEETING SUMMARY:
1. All members of the VOID Board of Directors were in attendance.
2. The Board unanimously adopted the revised Minutes of our meetings that took place on April 8, 2006; April 30, 2006; and June 6, 2006. These revised minutes will be posted onto the new public Minutes site by David Remer.
3. David Remer up-dated the Board on the progress he has made in regards to the projects he assumed in the previous meeting. He has begun the outline for the book he intends to write describing VOID in detail and is in the process of researching the articles he has written. More projects need to be completed.
4. The Board discussed the price for which we intend to sell the VOID window stickers that have been purchased through in-kind contributions made by David Remer and Dennis Sherrard. It was determined that each VOID member would receive one window sticker free of charge, as a perk of membership. Further, VOID members can purchase more window stickers at
cost, which we determined to be $1.50 + $0.50 shipping and handling per sticker. For non-members we are offering the VOID window stickers for $3.00 + $0.75 shipping and handling, which includes tax. Daniel Summars will be designing and mailing the order forms.
5. David Remer provided a Google Adwords statistics report to the Board, concerning his in-kind contribution of $50's worth of advertising for VOID. He reported that we did consume the entire $50's worth of advertising for the month of June, by June 30th. We had accumulated 115 click-throughs, which does not seem significantly worth the expense. If the number of click-throughs does not increase, the Board will determine that it is not worth VOID's expense to assume the cost of this advertising and the advertising may be discontinued.
6. David Remer proposed we seek volunteers to research district races for likely candidates whom VOID can choose to support due to their strong chances against the incumbent candidate. VOID will then push to get signage in place to urge voters to vote against the incumbent, which will help boost our credibility for the 2008 elections.
7. David Remer motioned to adjourn until our next meeting on Monday, August 7, 2006. A time has yet to be determined. The Board passed this motion unanimously.
