Incumbent Sherwood behind
According to an Oct. 2nd poll by the Lycoming College Polling Institute, incumbent Representative Don Sherwood is trailing in the 10th Congressional District race by nearly 10 points to Democratic challenger Christopher Carney. To me one of the more compelling
numbers in their breakdown as published in KeystonePolitics.com is that Carney had 26% of the Republican vote. Can we conclude from that number that there's anti-incumbent sentiment in that district?

Sounds like a safe conclusion to me.

There's definitely some anti-incubment sentiment.
Mostly against Republican incumbents.
Look for more anti-incumbent sentiment in 2008, because things are unlikely to improve the next two years with grid-lock due to a slightly Democrat Congress and a Republican Executive branch.
Don't worry. More anti-incumbent sentiment is on the way, because our pressing problems are going to grow in number and severity between now and 2008.
