Incumbent Chafee continues to lose ground
In a recent poll released by Rhode Island College Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse's lead over incumbent Lincoln
Chafee is growing in that Rhode Island Senate race.
According to the Boston Globe "The telephone poll was conducted between Oct. 23 and 25 and surveyed 408 randomly selected likely voters from around the state." 51% who responded said they were learning toward Whitehouse, 43 for Chafee.

And, the polls, whether the incumbent wins or not, rarely have better poll number percentages for the incumbent. That is, the polls more often show an incumbent advantage, which means the non-incubment lead may be larger than believed.
Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come.
Hopefully, some voters are realizing that:
BAD_Voters = BAD_Politicians = BAD_Government
As the consequences of so much fiscal and moral bankruptcy are felt nationwide, the more likely more voters will start to remember the one simple, non-partisan, common-sense, and responsible that voters were supposed to be doing all along, always.
Do it the smart way (soon), or do it later and learn the hard, painful way.
It's folly to think all voters will ever take off the partisan blinders, but that isn't necessary. All that is necessary is for a small percentage (e.g. 5%) of all 200 million voters to stop re-electing irresponsible incumbent polticians, because most elections are won by only small margins. If enough voters stop re-electing irresponsible incumbent polticians, it will hopefully oust enough irresponsible incubment politicians to significantly change the political landscape. And, it will not go unnoticed by the incubment politicians lucky enough to hold onto their cu$hy, coveted seats of abused power.

This is the only peaceful way to balance power between government and The People.
It is also what voters were supposed to be doing all along; always.
It is the only way to send a clear message to irresponsible government who keep ignoring the voters.
And, why shouldn't incubment politicians ignore the voters, when the voters keep re-electing those very same incubments, regardless of how fiscally and morally bankrupt those politicians are?
What's it going to take to get voters to open their eyes and stop blindly pulling that party-lever (i.e. voting straight-party-ticket) ?
Do we have to revisit the pain and misery times past?
Do we have to keep learning the hard way?
Our lesson is on the way. The sooner we learn it, the less painful it will be later. But, time is running out, and voters had better realize that some of the consequences for so much massive debt, borrowing, rampant spending, and money-printing is already in the pipeline. Some pain and misery is already on the way. These things take time to play out, which fools people. This current so-called good economy is an illusion being financed (for political reasons) by massive borrowing, debt, rampant spending, and money-printing. There will be unavoidable consequences for so much fiscal and moral irresponsibility.

You're absolutely right, d.a.n., it's not going to take much; but I'm on a crusade to wake everybody up. It's beyond me how people can continue to support some of these candidates, even one voter.
