VOID Board of Directors - Meeting Minutes

Monday, September 4, 2006 7:30PM - 8:30PM
ATTENDEES:
David R. Remer, President
Daniel Summars, Treasurer
Stephanie Crist, Secretary
PURPOSE: To review the progress of current projects and to consider new projects which will further VOID's progress in succeeding in our Mission.
MEETING SUMMARY:
1. All members of the VOID Board of Directors were in attendance.
2. The Board unanimously adopted the revised Minutes of our previous meeting.
3. David Remer informed the Board that the e-mail database he has been working on is complete. The database for supporters, contacts, and members is started, but, will take some time to complete. The secure server that is necessary for its safe use is still not complete, but, soon.
4. The Board discussed the possibility of high-lighting the expenses Congresspersons accrue which are paid in full by tax dollars and used to for campaign activities.
5. The Treasurer reports our bank, membership, and contribution records have been reconciled and all transactions and monies are accounted for.
6. The Board has resolved to develop a Voter Education Page that will focus on providing voters with easily accessible information.
7. The Board has committed to involving more volunteers in our efforts, especially concerning the need to find data for our Challengers Page. Our volunteer format will be: 1) Establish a project. 2) Establish a coordinator for the project. 3) Contact volunteers. 4) Ask volunteers gather information. 5) Coordinators will post information. This will give more people the opportunity to have a direct impact on VOID, while retaining the necessary security and consistency within the VOID website.
8. David Remer motioned to adjourn until our next work session scheduled for Monday, September 11, 2006. The Board passed this motion unanimously.
