No Time to Snooze, America
There is reason to hope that bipartisanship and moves away from ideological extremes are coming. But now, is no time for American voters to sit back and take a snooze until 2008. These politicians are going to be under extreme pressures to make politics of winning 2008 their primary objective, instead of finding functional solutions to major problems.
Politicians need to hear from us, loudly and often, with assurances of another anti-incumbent wave of voting should they again avoid our nation's needs, preferring instead partisan gain.
The whole red state, blue state, paradigm for viewing the American politics
has been thrown out the window. And rightfully so, as this last election has rewritten the political map as mostly purple from Hawaii to the Eastern most shore of Maine.
Both parties SHOULD recognize, that political gain can only be competed for by working for the approval of the centrists, moderates, and Independent vote which delivered the results of the last election. If they do recognize this, if we call and write, and email them, to insure they don't forget this and our demand for solutions instead of empty promises, an era of progress and problem solving can indeed become reality to a larger degree.

Right.
Incumbents need to hear from us, or that will continue to be fiscally and morally bankrupt, and continue to threaten the future and security of the nation.
There are still too many incumbents in Congress.
Well, I guess they're all incumbents again.
At any rate, 90% of Congress still retained their cu$hy, coveted seats.
We've got to do better next time.
We can do it the smart way, or the hard way.
But, either way, our education is in the pipeline.
So, let's see what Congress can accomplish since the 07-NOV-2006 election?
