VOID Board of Directors - Meeting Minutes

PURPOSE: To review progress of current projects and to plan a brainstorming session for VOID supporters.
MEETING SUMMARY:
1. The President and Secretary of the VOID Board of Directors were in attendance; Daniel Summars, VOID Treasurer, was absent due to unexpected scheduling conflicts.
2. David Remer has several projects to provide VOID with a smoother look and membership-tracking capabilities in the works. The site has recently been up-dated. Changes to the look and capabilities of the State sites will follow. A new, secure Board e-mail system will be set up through the VOID site. David Remer is also working on setting up the Mail2DB software to fulfill VOID's needs of membership-tracking and contact capabilities.
3. David Remer proposed a brainstorming session for VOID members and select supporters. This activity is proposed as primer for the 2008 elections and will involve awards and/or gifts to motivate participation. A chat room will be designed for this project, to provide a forum for greater interaction between participants. This activity is tentatively scheduled for a three-week-long trial run between July 15th and August 4th.
4. David Remer postponed all other business until the next meeting, when Daniel Summars could be in attendance.
5. David Remer motioned to adjourn until our next meeting on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 7:30PM CST. The motion passed unanimously.
