VOID Board of Directors - Meeting Minutes
Via Internet 3-way conferencing
Thursday, May 24, 2007 7:30PM - 8:45PM
ATTENDEES:
David R. Remer, President
Daniel Summars, Treasurer
Stephanie Crist, Secretary
PURPOSE: To review Treasurer's report and to begin preparations for the 2008 election cycle.
MEETING SUMMARY:
1. All members of the VOID Board of Directors were in attendance.
2. The Board unanimously adopted the Minutes of our previous meeting, on May 20, 2007. The Minutes will be posted onto the new public Minutes webpage.
3. Daniel Summars delivered the Treasurer's report to the Board. There is a total of $1361.82 in VOID's account, indicating a total gain of $662.94 since the first of the year. This includes $589 of in-kind donations, $50 of membership sales, and $23.94 in sticker sales. No impending expenditures were discussed.
4. David Remer chose to retain ownership of the Email2DB software, donating the use of the software
as an in-kind donation valued at $375. He will not be reimbursed by VOID for any portion of the cost of this software as previously discussed.
5. To better meet the needs of our members and guests, the Board has determined that VOID should adjust its focus. These changes will include addressing a wider variety of political issues of interest to the American people and covering these issues in a more organized format that will make each separate issue easier to locate on the site. To assist us in this project, and as preparation for the up-coming 2008 election cycle, VOID will be hosting a brainstorming session for members and supporters, tentatively scheduled to begin in late July.
6. VOID's obligations to the tax comptroller of the State of Texas have been paid and are up to date.
7. David Remer motioned to adjourn until our next meeting at a time and date yet to be determined. The Board passed this motion unanimously.
