Milestone Achieved for VOID
We have arrived. VOID has received sufficient memberships and donations to afford the expense of reaching out directly to voters. To all our members and supporters, thank you for your dollars and support, which have brought us to this major milestone in our growth as an organization of independent-minded voters. We are about to reach out directly to 15,000 registered voters in multiple direct email campaigns in 3 different states. This is just the beginning. Our goal is to reach 25 million registered voters in all 50 states.
The Board Directors met this week and approved the expenditure $450 to purchase an initial email contact list of 5000 verified registered voters from a marketing firm. We will email these registered voters a message about VOID's strategy, and what they can do to help turn American politics and government around. Great effort and care was taken to craft the message of the email for maximum response and effect toward VOID's Mission. This direct emailing will also serve to solicit VOID support, memberships, and donations by directing the recipients to our new VOID Overview web page.
We expect the response from the direct email campaign to generate the donations and memberships necessary to purchase more lists and reach ever larger numbers of registered voters. We begin with the purchase of 5000 addresses, with plans for two more purchases in subsequent months. We want to test initial responses, to see what volume and kind of response we get, and make adjustments and improvements as the feedback warrants.

As president of VOID, I want to thank my fellow VOID Board members for their perseverance and dedication since the holiday season of 2005 when VOID was founded. It took almost 2 years and many thousands of volunteer hours by them and our others to bring our organization to this milestone.
There were times when it seemed nearly impossible. There were times when I thought the small donation amounts would never amount to the sums needed to mass market the VOID concept and give voters another choice. There were times when the work load seemed too great, and volunteers too few. But, through it all, we each, in our turn, gave strength and confidence to each other to plod ahead, keep the vision and hope of VOID alive, and moving forward.
To all of you who have contributed words of encouragement, your precious time and effort, and unflinching dedication to improving American politics and government through VOID, we extend a heartfelt Thank You, and deepest appreciation for your strength, perseverance, and hope.
VOID has accomplished a great deal and hurdled many obstacles to get to this point. We are however, just at the beginning of the VOID movement in America. Your continued support, membership, and donations are extremely important to fulfill our common mission and goal: better, more responsible government.

UPDATE: Due to a number of factors, including more rounds of comparison shopping for the best deal, this email marketing campaign was delayed in getting out the door.
I am pleased to say however, that we are now prepared to begin this email campaign in San Antonio, Texas, to 6000 Independent registered voters. In order to save costs, we are delivering the emails by several hundred per day. So, it will take a week or more to get all 6000 out.
We will provide results in our next newsletter at the end of this month or in March as appropriate.
