Skills: Bachelor of Psychology. Minor: philosophy. Manager and director of several non-profit organizations. Political writer and analyst on several web sites. Stage and public speaking history.

Political leanings: Fiscally conservative; generally liberal on social policy.

I started my young adult life as a hIgh school dropout at age 16, mezmerized by the intellectual and social revolution of the 1960's with its civil rights movement, communes, and peace movements.

Upon waking from my hippy daze on a commune in Oregon, I recognized I had no future in America without getting the college degree I was conditioned by the Detroit school system to obtain. Having been honored by an American Legion Scholar award in the 8th grade, and despite my opposition to the war in Viet Nam, I enlisted in 1972 into the U.S. Army as a medic to help wounded soldiers and obtain the G.I. Bill which was my only avenue to pay for a college education.

After an honorable discharge in 1975, I attended college at the University of Texas at San Antonio. During that time, I also worked in various theater roles, as a nurse's aid, and psychiatric technician which, the Army trained me for. I graduated while working as a counselor for a federal prisoner halfway house.

Not long after graduation I attained a position as Managing Director of Avila College's Performing and Visual Arts department, a result of my years in the 1960's and 1970's working in stage theater. After failing to achieve a salary commensurate to my new status as husband and future role as father, I left a job as Executive Director of an arts council in Missouri to return to San Antonio, Texas, and seek a more lucrative position as an insurance claims adjuster. 5 years later, discouraged by the concept of insurance as one of betting against one's choices and, enticed by the prospect of fathering my newborn daughter, I decided to become a stay at home Dad, go to business graduate school, and set up an online home based business called a BBS, or Bulletin Board Service: the precursor to the publicly available internet we know today.

The BBS hooked me on the communications and internet revolution. I have, in one way or another, been involved in internent communications or services ever since. In 2003, I began a blog called Political News and Analysis. And soon after began getting writing offers by owners of other political web sites. I became the managing editor of WatchBlog, where I encountered debate with intelligent folks from all political perspectives. A couple years went by, debating politics, when I wrote an article asking my readers to get off their butts, quit debating, and start doing something about the problems they were complaining about. The hypocrisy of that advice hit me square between the eyes.

In October of 2005, I set up a new web site called Vote Out Incumbents Democracy where like minded folks could congregate to develop an action plan and start making a positive difference in countering the increasingly corrupt political system and government we witness today. The concept snowballed with enthusiastic supporters and the rest, as they say, is history.

My previous fiduciary roles as president of a homeowner's association, and arts executive director, as well as counselor, claims adjuster, and stage theater performer, have afforded me the experience and legal environment knowledge to establish, and function as an integral part of, a Poltical Action Association. Integrity, honesty, and the ability to respond appropriately to challenges are what I bring, and expect of all who participate in this all volunteer Vote Out Incumbents Democracy organization.

I have found no shortage of such attributes in the admirable folks who have stepped forward to become volunteers, directors, and supporters of this immensely important organization of our times. My role is that of coordinator for the leaders in our organization who work diligently with their spare time to set our nation's government back on a footing of responsibility, accountability, and transparency, toward the goal of insuring America's future can be far more secure, prosperous, and free from undo government intrusion.

Our treasurer, Daniel Summars keeps our organization above board in our reports and disclosures to the Federal Elections Commision. Our Sectretary-Historian, Stephanie Crist, keeps us organized and moving forward as our todo list grows ever longer. Finer folks to serve with are not to be found.

My role is also to insure that responsibility, accountability, and transparency remain the core principles which Vote Out Incumbents Democracy exemplifies in all of its functions and actions. We cannot expect from government, what we don't expect of ourselves. Being an all volunteer organization means no person working with VOID receives any donations or membership dues in compensation. Every penney of donations and dues are spent on growing our organization and fulfilling its mission.
