I can sense that some of you are getting ready to click off of this article right now, nobody has the time to give, and we know it. How about for starters you order one of the window stickers and help get the word out while you drive? Better yet, why not order some extras and give them to your friends for Christmas along with a short note of what VOID is trying to accomplish.

Indiana VOID needs help now so if you have an idea or want to help please let us know. Our focus to start is to build a network within our State based on our 10 Congressional Districts. If we expect to hold our elected (and appointed) officials responsible and accountable then we must be willing to do our part too.

We need a number of volunteers who can spare two hours per week or more to take on organizational roles as state coordinator, city coordinators, web site manager, helpers, communications coordinators, writers, news and information gatherers.

This is a ground floor opportunity to become an integral part of a grass roots organization to restore effectiveness, efficiency, responsibility, accountablilty, and trust in our U.S. Congress. Our volunteers will acquire valuable experience in organizational development and grass roots politics. The cause could not be more noble, nor the need greater.

As of this writing, Oct. 2, 2006, Indiana VOID is just getting organized. We are developing our web site as our base of operations for carrying out the VOID Mission in our Hoosier State.

Our goal and mission are the same as the national Vote Out Incumbents Democracy organization's, but targeted toward U.S. Congress representatives from Indiana, specifically.
