This is more of a rant than an article I suppose. However Too many people have been silent for too long it is time for citizens to speak their mind!

The short list for this Saturday morning:

Local schools closing programs for students, laying off teachers, continuing raises for administrators, and raising my property taxes for this service to the children. Meanwhile we are losing ground worldwide in our children's math, science and technology skills.

I spoke with a teacher from the Chicago Public Schools last week with a $130. annual classroom budget. They are going to 40 student classes and the regulation of the school environment is less than stellar. We are heading for disaster.

A lack of information resources in rural areas, though some small private companies are working independently on the issue. I have spoken with companies that have been denied funding for rural Information Technology projects.

Crumbling infrastructures in our transportation systems. While "Road Taxes" and "fuel taxes" escalate. A lack of promised push for energy reform.

Deadly alcohol related crashes and passerby vehicles being stopped, 2 drivers issued their second DUI as they are stopped passing by the crash scene.

Law enforcement officers being laid off, a shortage of prosecutors and killers being let out for lack of judicial resource.

Latin American governments creating a consortium to seriously analyze the greater harms being done to society by the war on drugs and open serious dialogue about new paradigms of marijuana policy to stop the inflow of cash to illegal organizations and channel it to legal and taxable operations. At the same time U.S. politicians refuse to talk about it. (It is a sad day when foreign governments are making more sense than Washington)

On a state level I am very lucky to have a trusted servant of the constituency as a representative. However I question the rest of the elected officials across the board. Special interest seems to have taken over the political system and the time for action is now.

Attending school from 2001 to 2005 as an adult was a very eye opening experience. Young people (20ish) were disengaged from the political process completely and most of them I spoke with were not registered to vote and had no intention of participating because the general feeling was that the situation was hopeless and the voting system was no longer legitimate.

VOID is extremely exciting! Our strength is in open communication and I am prepared to work on the development of a better future leaving old paradigms behind and bringing democracy back to our society.

The recent Supreme Court ruling on cash flow from non human entities undermines our political system and a grassroots fight for democracy against the enemies of the state is more imperative than ever. Campaign Finance Reform should be on the lips of every true American.

We have far too many career politicians that have lost touch with the country, the self serving political class needs a wake up call immediately! It is time for unity of the American people, and stopping the cycle of broken political machines should be our first priority.

Thank you all for working on behalf of my country,
